Sidenote: the game is stable, the missions are incredibly well designed and the game is not riddled with bugs, like Unity. Jacob is a brawler, while Evie is a thinker and this combination of traits results in a lot of great moments, different (ish) gameplay styles and funny banter. And the 2 protagonists, the Frye twins, are a joy to play as. First a grappling-gun (like Batman's) that makes climbing (and killing) fast and sweet. And the additions to the tired formula are also fantastic. And a great story to write as you traverse Victorian London's corners in search for its secrets. There is no **** this time no multiplayer nonsense, no companion APP. Which is a shame, because, let me tell you: Syndicate is an INCREDIBLE game and a true homage to what the game (and the series) once was: a historical experience, where you have a city as your playground, just like Ezio did, back in the day. No matter how good they are, people just don't care anymore. Ubisoft biggest mistake is to release a game every year. I am a big (and loyal) fan of this franchise - though I am not a fanboy. A solid 7 - I enjoyed it but there's so much untapped potential in the AC series. The negatives: there's plenty of story potential that goes untapped, the twins' relationship is hardly covered at all, there is still lots of busy work, some of the missions towards the end get fairly flat, the story doesn't really build to anything memorable and the villain is incredibly amateur (he runs London, yet at no point does he do anything to wrest back control!). The positives: the graphics are excellent, the Frye twins are well written, there are some humorous moments, the early missions are fun. Thankfully, it is decent - about as decent a game can be when it's released on an annual basis.
